Can i call police for a gang outside?

Can I call the police for a gang outside? Its 12am and they have been outside for at least 2 hours... they are not doing anything directly to me...but they are very noisy wandering up and down, they look to be about 16-20 mainly male and there is about 15-20 of them they are all holding beer cans and sound drunk. they are shouting abuse to each other and just basically being a nuisance. can I call the police about this or will they just say there's nothing they can do?
