If I take 2 birth control pills will it make my period stop?

I am on my honeymoon and it is quite a nuisance. I haven't been on birth control in a few months but I have a leftover package and I was wondering if I took like 2 of the pills if it would stop me from bleeding. and if so, how long would it take to stop?
