Does anyone else think Ted Allen on Chopped is a nuisance to the chefs?

The chefs are frantically trying to get their dishes cooked within the allotted time, and he'll walk right up into their personal space and start asking them questions. I find myself yelling at him through the tv, 'move ted allen you're in their way!'
